hey, if there are imperfections in the paintwork of the car, is this covered by warranty? And im not talking about just whacking some touch up paint coz anyone can grab a bottle, and brush some on as someone i think already did at the dealer near my side indicator... grrrr have to question about that next time im there. I have this spot on my bonnet, not large, but its definately a lump and no paint on it and it stands out especially when the car is clean, and also on the drivers side pillar it seems theres a an area thats bubbling.

I know that i found a long scratch on the roof from where they put the roof protector on it while it gets shipped....Big scratch on the top but i didnt notice it till after someone keyed my car (4 days old mind you) so i couldnt take it back and complain.

I'd definitely take it back and be firm, but not be a total Smacktard about it. I wouldn't accept it if you're not happy with it, if you get no joy at the service manager level, ask to talk to his boss, etc. If it's clearly not right, then yes, you can claim on it. Paint is covered by warranty.

Angry and LeeAnne in the eurofordclub had a similar thing with their new Fiesta, and that was repaired no problems.

paint defects should be covered by warranty, underlying paint problems like bubbling/orange peeling indicate something is wrong under the paint and you should definitely get it checked out.
