my electric windows, mirrors and washer jets front and back, and rear windscreen wiper all stopped working at the same time, and there is a clicking noise coming from the passenger footwell fusebox but i cant seem to find the problem, swapped the fuse for the windows with no success
Hi, ive found a test online which i will do later which involves holding the back window heater button while turning the ignition on which i will try later, if the working components beep and the failing ones dont will that mean the gem is ok ?
I just tried this test, rear wipers/washers front and back did not respond. Neither did windows or mirrors however they are not mentioned in the test guide
If anything there faulty runs through into a back liftgate or hatch then check the main harness to it at where the flex occurs at the hinge point. Ford 'biodegradable' flimsy plastic wire insulation often breaks in the wires at the flexpoint there. Then you get broken or shorted circuits. The outside harness cover commonly covers up the damage, you often have to open that up to find it.
