Re: Rally Australia

I'd love for Ford to get into rallying also, coz I could be involved!!!!!!! I'd happily donate my car for free.

Hehe, i think you'll be needing a lot more than that. First you need the rallying lessons, my gf got me a stage 1 lesson for the day with RALLYMAX and cost $400 and the lessons keep getting dearer with higher stages.
The guy that runs it, Rob Herridge (Dean Herridges son) said it costs FROM $20 000 to RUN a car per event, plus the cost of gettin your hands on car in the first place.

Doin the first lesson was awesome, especially coz your behind the wheel of a Turbo AWD on gravel . Rallying is a huge adrenaline rush but the cost is unbeleiveable!! One day! lol. i already got a mate whos into rallyin too that said when im ready, he'll co-drive for me.... no complaints here, i didnt wana question why he didnt want to drive just in case he reconsidered.

Re: Rally Australia

Thats why I bought my RS2000, to get into rallying that way. Already have my driving and support crew lined up for Targa Tasmania 06, spending all next year prepping the car for the event and saving the money required, with my brother. It's a hobby, and an expensive one at that.

I envy those that make it a business, I'm too busy with my fighter jets to do it full time tho!

Re: Rally Australia

Devistating news for all focus owners. Well not entirely devistating but sad. Markko Martin had to retire today due to engine failure. He's not having much luck with Rally Oz is he, last year being disqualified for using a rock to secure his spare wheel.
That leaves one Foci, Duval's in competition. Hopefully Ford can get Martin's car back on the road for tomorrow, with the new FIA rules allowing restart but no elegibilty for points.

Re: Rally Australia

Just came back home from the super special at glouster park, and lets just say im grinning from ear to ear. I was a bit dissappointed to see only 5 wrc cars racing, 4 of whom are still in the rally for points, it was still a great night overall with heaps of PCWRC and Privateers.
Got some nice pics of the wrc foci up close, and even managed to get some shots with Duval, hehe. From what i saw while i was there, i was the only one who got one Well worth the $15 i spent to get into the service park, and $50 for a grandstand seat with an awesome view.

I would post some pics, but i had my camera on the highest resolution, so i cant post em nor put one on as my avatar. How can i downsize these pictures?

Re: Rally Australia

Couple ways you can do it.

One - email them to me - tim@eurofordclub.com and I can do both things, make an avatar for you with the picture you want, and resize photos. Don't hesitate if its easiest for ya.

Two - if you own the program Photoshop, open the photo, go to Image > Image Size then change the image size to something like 640 x 480 pixels which is a good size for attaching photos. Other programs may be able to do this for you!

Three - you can upload them to the eurofordclub gallery, go to www.eurofordclub.com/gallery. You need to register an account I believe but once you do that, you can start a new album and upload them there. I have done its lots of time, as you can see!

Sounds like it was a great time out, I wish I was there, would love to hear them all and see them in the flesh!
