Sorry if this is the wrong board but I have a Focus 1.6 Zetec Hatchback with an annoying rattle coming from the back of the car. I've had it on the ramps at local garage and everything looks OK (shocs, exhaust, bushes etc). I've had the parcel shelf out and removed everything from the boot and checked the spare tyre etc is tightly in. If I grab hold of the boot and move it, there is a rattle so I'm thinking it's the catch. Anyone else had this problem? It's driving me mad.....

As a temp repair you could wrap some insulation tape round the striker in the boot to see if it cures it.
