Hi to all
I have a small problem with the rear water washer, not working
the car is a Ford Focus estate tdci 04 plate
The washer was working, but over the last 2 weeks, ive not been able to clean window, using the washer
I can hear the motor working, when i try to squirt the water, but no water coming thru
I removed the rear brake light from rear window, as the sprinkler is built in there, i disconnected the pipe from the nozzle, thinking the jet nozzle might have been blocked, with the pipe disconected, i got my son to try it, STILL nothing coming out the pipe..
I took front wheel off, and removed the arch plastic covering, located the pipes on the motor, and i pulled the pipe of the motor, and got wet thru doohhhh..
The water ran out the bottle and the pipe, so i thought that was fine, so reasembled, but still nothing
Would i have been better pressing the rear water washers, to see if water was coming thru the motor, while the pipe was off??
Maybe i have a blockage in the motor were the pipe connects
were does the piping run, does it run in the head lining or along bottom of door?
is there a connetor in the pipe that runs to the rear window?
Can anyone suggest what i could try next?
Thought it might just be a case of frozen pipes, but im sure this would have thawed by now
any help much appreciated
I ussually take to the garage, as im not mechanically minded, but they want to charge me, £32 plus VAT for looking for an hour, so if easy fix, i will have a go at it
thanks

Favourite on these is the pipe coming apart under the headlining at the rear, if you pull it down you should be able to check.
IM SURE IF IT HAD CAME APART THRE, THE HEAD LINING WOULD GET WET?
same as i said , its not putting water anywere, the water bottle stays full all time, im thinking more of a blockage somewere
So, you've done nothing more since your original post. If the level doesn't go down, then it is either blocked or it's not coming out of the pump. Disconnect from the pump and put a temporary hose on it to see if it pumps out. If it doesn't, replace the pump. If it does, then try some compressed air back through the system.
I saw no mention of this in your first post, hence the direction of my (free) help to you. Follow Fonz's line next.
BTW the headlining will only appear wet after a long period of soaking due to the composition of the innermost side, for a while the water will run off it and all the way down to the inner rear quarter and out to the road.
Managed to have a look at the pump to the water washer today
Took pipes of the washer pump, and that is working ok, water sprayes out no probes with the pipes of
So ther for i think the pump is working ok.
were does the rear pipe run, i see it goes thru the bulk head, but not sure which way it runs from there
Does it run up the side of the passenger door, then under the roof lining ?
Is ther a join in ther somewere, or is it just 1 long peice of pipe ?
I am now thinking that ther must be a blockage somewere, thats wy i asking if ther is a join somewere
any more help would be very much appreciated
thanks
