rear window wiper

2000 focus wagon rear window wiper not working
I have checked fuse, changed motor and control arm on steering column and it still does not work, front wipers and washers ok and rear washer.
can anyone help with this problem

Your problem might be in the wiring harness that connects the light gate to the roof, it's pretty common on older foci's. It's an easy repair just lift the rear hatch and move the rubber grommet down the harness to expose the wiring and you'll be able to see broken wiring. All I do to repair is cut the wiring and butt connect the ends, never had a problem again.

Have you checked all fuses? It may be a separate fuse for the rear. I know it's too late now, but you should have checked for power to the motor before replacing it. May have saved some $$. Is the replacement motor new or from the scrap yard? Even new parts can be defective. Run some temporary power to the motor and verify it is good.

00gtr1 Thanks for the advice about rubber boot , found broken wire to rear wiper and 5 other wires with plastic coating breaking and wire exposed
