Hi,

I have purchased a s/h seat which pivots and slides partly out of the car made by Elap to assist my disabled Father gain access to the car. It is from same year of Focus (2000) and is designed to fit existing mounting holes. Howver my car is Focus Ghia with airbag in side of seat. Can I safely disconnect and remove the existing front passenger seat without impacting on the workings of the other air bags.

If you disconnect the wiring, and install the other seat, then the Airbag light will come on and will be inoperative.
