Is there any online tutorials/instructions on how to change the bulbs on 2001 4 door Focus. Or can somebody help me out with some tips/instructions? I also need to replace the fuel filter. Is this something I should just bring into a mechanic?
At the $80 quote my first thought was to do it myself. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Replacing the bulbs is easy, takes about 5 minutes.

Open the hood and twist off the cap covering the back of the head lamp enclosure. Pull the cable off the old one bulb, release the spring loaded wire latch that is holding the old bulb in. Pull out the old bulb and reverse the process for putting in the new bulb.

The original lights in my girlfriend's 2001 Focus were way to dim so I replaced them with Sylvania Silver Stars. Much better, but not as bright as those obnoxious xenon bulbs you see.

dont waste the money in mechanic shop just look here for solution Ford Headlight, Corner Light, Signal Lamp, Fog Light, Mirror, ...

How to "release the spring loaded wire"? I have a 2002, with front headlamp out. I can jiggle the old bulb, but cannot figure out how to release it. Owner's manual no help.
