I would have added this to the other thread where it came up, but it's closed now.... anyway, my drivers seat is sqeaking and has been for a little while now. It especially makes noise when I accelerate hard. Fordel, I know you said that your's sqeaked and you were taking it back, how did that go? Did they stuff you around or fix/replace the seat with no worries? Is it covered by warranty?
Understandably, my seats would get a bit of load put on them, I am 196cm and 100kg and the seats fit me beautifully, but I am a bit dissappionted by the squeaking.
Lincoln, when you said that you have broken yours, how did it look? I now have a gap between the base and backrest of about 1cm, the passenger seat has nothing. Maybe I broke mine....
the gap between the base and back may not be your problem....as all our seats do that....its just the height adjustment, the passenger doesn't have adjustment so its always in the high position (ie with no gap). the squeaking is not normal though i would wager, and if its a problem take it straight to the dealer, any thing that is faulty or you are unhappy about is under warranty. it probably just needs tightening or something.

If trees could scream...would we be so cavalier in cutting them down?
.....maybe.....if they screamed all the time for no good reason.
mine's full low also, amazed you never noticed it!!!!! But as for the squeak, warranty won't do anythign if it's not broken, you'll have to get them to look at it but you may have to fix it urself.
mate just pointing out that unless it's physically broken they can't do much. Most guys will have a look and try to fix it but rattles and squeaks after the first service technically are not covered according to the manual. I do find they're pretty good though also, but was just covering all bases. If in doubt, just fix it urself, on a weekend off. Nothing like getting to know ur car!!! That is if they don't do it first!!!
I spoke to my dealer last night and they said that they would try and fix it. Have to wait until next thursday to get it in, but they did say they would fix it under warranty.
Fordel, do you know what they did? Maybe I can tell whoever is fixing it what you had done...
