I was thinking about buying a 2000 or 2001 Focus. Since my money is tight I can't get a new one. Well, I've heard stories that a lot goes wrong and heard other stories that there good cars. So I don't know what to expect. I don't wanna buy one have it be a lemon. Do you guys think I should go for it or go for a different car?

Avoid the 2000 at all costs if you can. Car with the most recalls and issues EVER. That's my 2 cents worth anyway, best go the 2001, u'll have some warranty left that way too if there are any issues.
