My car produces a squealing noise sometimes as the car starts to move from a total stop (0-30km). The noise will go away at slightly speeds (>30km)?
It is not always there though. I suspect it's one of the belts, which were replaced a last summer. What could be the problem? Thanks.

Well not knowing where the sound is coming from it is hard to tell. But with the limited information it could be a belt. It could be one of the accessories, alt, wp or anything else the belts touch. It could be one of the components that are failing at the RPM range. But what I find odd is that it is only from 0 - 30 and goes away at higher speeds. It could be wheel bearings, could be a brake pad that is pressed against the rotor and at the higher speeds and heat it is getting enough distance to not touch the rotors.

More recently, the squealing noise sometimes also occurs as soon as I start the car engine, without the car moving. But soon after I shift the gear from "park" to "drive", it goes away.
