although the 17s are an option and im sure they wouldn't offer then as an option if the car sufferered to noticeably with them on. the zetec rims are very similar to the rims on the new falcon GT, which is pretty cool. they look good, but if i was to buy some aftermarket 17's (probably won't..16' are a good compromise between looks, tyre price and performance) i wouldn't buy the multispoke things as the st170 has...as mentioned....they absoluitely suck to clean, dad has similar azzuros on his TE50 and he hates cleanin them. i'd go for something deep dish with around 6 spokes. that would look tough.

If trees could scream...would we be so cavalier in cutting them down?
.....maybe.....if they screamed all the time for no good reason.
One tip for making wheel cleaning easier is to ensure you wax the wheels after every wash. This will ensure the brake dust doesn't bake on. Just use a relatively cheap polymer sealant wax.
heh heh. sure if you can afford to do that weekly. by the way fordel love the avatar you got....i would trully love to see a car built to those measurements....it'd be the most hilarious car ever.

Listen to me. They are not worth getting. They are a bastard to clean & you have to take them off the car to clean the inside of the rims at times. The caps over the wheel nuts are a bastard to remove & they are only plastic & they are easily damaged even though a small lever is supplied by Ford which doesn't work. You need to keep a long thin flat screwdriver in the glovebox. I will definatelly take them off before the car goes in to get the tires rotated. It took me around 20 minutes to get a wheel off to clean it, so I would not be much fun if you got a flat. I am starting to get really Pi--ed of with stupid engineering stuffups on this model car.
Regards Mark.......
Lucky you havent got chrome wheels on it then!
The seventeen spokers are easy to clean compared to my last wheels(chromed). First thing dont use tyre black unless the car isnt driven for at least 2hrs first
Just take them to one of those DIY franchise type car washes(like the one on the corner of port and south road), grab some proper wheel cleaner(stuff they supply is...), spray it on all wheels and tyres and then hit it with the hot highpressure setting, rinse then hot wax em rinseaway. No touch done in 2min flat and cost bout $1 or so.(plus wheel cleaner)
Well thats what I do...
What made the wheels hard to remove, was it the centre cap or was the wheel stuck on the hub?

NSW is working on it for ST's... as for the rims, I too use Carlovers and their rim cleaning stuff, minimum effort and a high pressure hose makes maximum shine. Love it.
