I've had my ST3 for 2 months, from new and have a problem my Ford Dealer has been no help at all.

When its been a cold night, or wet and cold, on starting the car (no problem with that bit) I am unable to get the car into gear! (1st and reverse is the worst) Also the clutch pedal after these cold nights is so low to the floor I keep stalling the car (much to the amusement of my husband!)

After a good run its fine, if its a mild night there is no problem. Ford have said bugger off there is nothing wrong with it!

Now, my neighbour has a volvo, which has the same engine as my ST and low and behold his does the same, although his car is much older.

Your thoughts please? Anyone else has a similar problem?

Sounds like a possible hydraulic fault ie clutch slave or master cylinder. Take it in and say you don't want it back until it's fixed, it's possibly dangerous if the clutch goes in certain circumstances.

Don't they have a clutch cable? Could be stretched.
