I have just replaced the head gasket (and a few other bits) and everything
is just about put back but i have 3 bolts left over and they look pretty
important.

So I thought I'd ask here before I start ripping things off again.

Can anyone shed some light on where they might go?

The longest is a 10mm and the other 2 are 13mm.

Never worked on a Focus, but at a guess, the long one might go to the exhaust.

After looking in your profile pics, the smallest one seems to be the one hiding behind the alternator.

And then the other two look to be like the alternator bolts, but I can't be sure.

EDIT: That block has been taken apart for a while now eh? Either that or it has suffered water damage?

It's been in pieces for a while now. Nearly a month. I can only really work on it at the weekends.
I took the cylinder head off and it had to go to the shop for repair. It had to be welded. that took some time.
I think (hope) the block is ok.
I have re-assembled it...mostly. but had those 3 bolts left.
I have 2 in the alternator and that small one isn't from there. There is one there already.

They do look like accessory bolts like an alternator or aircon pump. To me it looks like the long bolt on the left has a unique looking head on it so that could be a clue unless its just the photo..or my eyes lol.

The block should be fine but lucky you had the head checked at a shop or you would have done all this for nothing.

Yea the long one does look to have a unique head on it, I wasn't sure of that either when I looked, but I guess you see it too.
