Re: tailgate latch

Can you hear the 'click' for it to release? If not, check fuses. If so, open with key and check the release

Had a few duff GEM modules causing with this one. Are all these faults you're asking about on the same car?! If so, time for a new one methinks.....

Re: tailgate latch

The m/c appears to be the same as Transit Connect have a looky here; Find BRAND NEW CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER FORD FOCUS CONNECT on eBay within, Ford, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 05-Dec-07 11:29:27 GMT)
The GEM usually operates everything else as normal when the boot release goes down, and yes it needs to be programmed when replaced. Check the number on the side and have a squint here;
eBay.co.uk - focus gem items at low prices
