tdci losing power
hey i have recently bought a 2003 tdci zetec 115 and the car itself is great but the engine doesnt like to rev above about 3500 and starts to lose it at about 3000, a mechanic mate of mine said the max power of the car is at around 3800 and it hardly even makes it there, also there is a surge of power sometimes when the turbo kicks in and sometimes theres not, he mentioned something about an air flow meter?
could that be it?
any help will be greatly appreciated
