Anyone got their car tinted as a aftermarket option?
I'm going to make some calls tomorrow and get some quotes, what sort of prices have you payed and where from if you don't mind listing. Friends have suggested should cost around $250-300 for quality job, yet to make some calls but would like an indication as to what you guys paid.

DAVE there is no location where you are we got the ba tinted at advanced window tinting in dandenong [MELB] $250. and a perfect job cheers greg

I swear by Auto Shade Nepean Hwy Brighton. in Melbourne. 5 door Zetec..$286 for top quality. This guy is a craftsmen. 4th car I have had done with him. He does all the prestige car dealers along nepean highway. Takes real pride in his work, passionate, and his recommendations are always spot on

I did tint porfessor for $185 or so about 12 months ago.

have had no probs (darkest legal tint).

Courtesy car was a bonus.



Note: If you can wait, they often cut the price when they;re in mid-winter

ops... sorry i'm from Geelong (1hr from Melbourne). However, i do visit melbourne quite frequently once a week. Hm... tinting ain't a neccesity, more a want then need... maybe if the price is <$50 i'll wait for winter (ain't too far off). $395 from tint master for scotch (3M) tint... kinda $$$. Lifetime warranty against fading.
Also $300 for some jet black (life time warranty against bubbling).

hm.. decisions decisions.
