Two problems with 2005 Focus
Just bought a 2005 Focus last week and took it out for road trip today. Two problems I've noticed which I will be calling the dealership about Monday morning. When I hit 45-48 mph there is a weird knocking coming from the back end. It only does it at that speed and not when I go faster or slower. Doesn't matter if it's a bumpy road, a curvy road or what. Hit that speed and it sounds like someone is locked in the truck knocking on the lid. Pulled over and checked to make sure nothing was loose in the truck, everything is secured. Sounds like knocking or something bouncing around back there. Also when using the keyless entry, we have 2 remotes. One will work or the other will work but not both at the same time. If we lock it up with one, then the other one will not work until we reprogram it. Doesn't matter which one we use, the other one won't work. Any ideas? Other than those two minor annoyances, we love our new car. Runs great, handles very well even on the highway. Went from a 93 Tempo to this and even though we went down from a 6 cylinder to a 4, I have no complaints, it is a zippy little car.
