I don't know of any V8 Focus in Oz yet, in the states there are multiple conversion kits and have even seen a Cleveland in one also.

I'm having trouble getting serious info from makers of the kits. They dont appear to have to do the whole engineering thing that we have to here when we do odd swaps.

I would love to do one and to be honest could see the development of a "focus v8" class of club racing (they have this in the states) here being quite successfull given the sheer cost versus fun angle of the class of car.
the various kits all look quite well engineered and should pass our tests but setting the precedent is always twice the price.
