just came across this at another forum,
"Advised today that there is some concern with Ford Australia looking to take legal action."
Please show us the other Forum (maybe the Nizpro), I have seen it on other forums too, but it was posted by you.
It may be a crock of shite, spread to buy time, who knows.
Honesty is the best Policy.

Dont forget that the Settings which are being sold back to us are largely those done by ford australia.
The big issue and fords only legal chance of stopping this is saying that the tunes which they have given to the cars are their own, they spent thousands of hours getting everything running right and now martin/CAPA/SCT/whoever, is come in and taking the base ford tune, and modifying it (they are really only modifying a very small part of it in most cases) and selling/profiting from it.
Now if the tunes which were being sold to us were completely new and entirely the intellectual property of the CAPA team, i.e they programmed the tunes from scratch. then it would be a different issue.
When you look at the australian market place both ECUTek(for subarus) and LS1 EDIT (holdens) are avaiable. I dont know for a fact but i am sure that both subaru and holden would have tried to stop these being released also but failed, or realised that they would fail.
I do not think that this will prevent the Boss Edit (as we like to know it) from reaching the consumer, however this legal mess may slow it back a long way.
The Edit is being sold as a product to modify the tuning settings on an individual car. A car owned by an entity other than Ford, who is aware and accepts that the software settings in his/her vehicle are being changed.

just my 2c
on the ls1edit stuff they didnt. If you modify your car and you brake and try to claim it under warranty then you are just a cheat simple as that (you can apply that senario across any modification)
it isnt much, but at least they are saying they have it now, where does the que start, just behind me thank you very much, two turbo ute's and a BA XR8 ute to do, mmmmmm, cant wait, getting very very close now boys.

nothing new on the Capa Website, still no prices, release dates, or numbers and results...
but this is something i didn't know from the Capa site..
''FLASH TUNER was developed with the assistance of SCT in America''
i thought it was a SCT product? well it was nice of SCT to assist them to make the Edit program..
