ZX5 2006 Gas consumption - Ford Forums

Hi, I own a Ford Zx5 2006 automatic transmission, I would ike to know what is your average mileage with a full tank.

In the city during the winter( I live in Ottawa, Canada), I do around 350Km -375, I dont think ive reach 400 km this winter. And during the summer it's around 400 Km i think.

I just want to compare with other owners... I think my car consumed a lot of gas fot the mileage I do with one tank.

I know it's not much to go on but my rental (2.0 Zetec wagon) averaged 9.4L/100km in combined city/highway driving over three days. I was easy on the pedal with it as it wasn't mine.

The focus has a mere 55L tank from empty, so 375-400km is on par for real world driving. I would imagine you fill it up with around 40-48L each time so you'd average just over 10L/100km depending on driving style and the weight in the vehicle. Driving style alone can have as much as 40% impact on fuel economy. Hopefully you'll get some close mileage posts from other forum users!

Our 2006 ZX5 SES has gotten on avg 28.4 MPG for 3,500 miles. The worst was 26.5 - the best 31.0. Have not had a long trip yet but want to to see if I can top 34-35 MPG.
