Decided to post the entire car history of this little black duck.
I dunno if there is a pattern but I know the next one is going to be an AV XR8:D
First car when i was 17, '71 XY Fairmont 250.
Russell.
My third car, about another year later, '82 Fairmont Ghia.
Originally a 4.1, it turned out not enought for me...so 351 and nine inch went in and I was happy.
Russell.
During the GT dynasty, I also acquired this car ...for the wife..
Car number 5... '82 XE Fairmont Ghia ESP.
Original 302 which after the rebuild ended up a very compressed 351.
After the GT was sold for lack of driving..(I do regret it)..car 6 come along... '96 EF Fairmont Ghia..
Your run of the mill Tickford 4.0L, this was a nice car to drive.
Went and handled well.
I still had the ESP in the shed if I really wanted to go sick.
And my current rig, the AU Fairmont Ghia 5.0. This is the best handling car I've had that's for sure, and it can get along also.
Next one will be an AV!!
Russell.:D
I reckon it's a good line up to FM!
Building up to my first NEW car.
Just thinking, between me and my 2 brothers we've nearly got the whole Falcon family lined up, from XY to AU.
One had and XB Fairmont V8, then an XD Falcon V8. And the other has now an EL Fairmont 6.
That only leaves XF to ED blank. But I know people with them so..
Russell.
