3 Black Utes 2 AU's 1 BA.

I thought I would post some better pics of the utes I have owned over the past 4 years. All of them have shared the same canopy which I don't think is the best look for a ute but unfortunately we need it for our business.
1st pic is a AU1 Xls V8 ute. The second pic is a AU2 XR8 ute and the third is a BA XR8 Ute.

Good to see the progression from model to model. So going for a Black BA2 Pursuit next time?

Anyway in my (unbiased) opinion that's one sexy beast. I must say though that I prefer the Carryboy canopy over the Flexiglass ones anyday. They're much better visually integrated with rest of the body-shape, not sure about the functional aspects though.

Anyway, well-done, consistency at it's best.

Re: 3 Black Utes over 4 years.

Thanks Madder, I looked at getting the carryboy canopy this time around but stayed with the old one because the pics I saw of the carryboy looked to low and being in black I did'nt want that old hurst look. I was looking at getting a BA2 Pursuit in the future but the starter button idea has got me a bit worried on the BA1. I think if they take another step back in time from the starter button idea we could end up with a crank handle hanging from the front bumper.

Re: 3 Black Utes over 4 years.

I dont mind that canopy, actually, for a work ute. Looks extremely better than a silver tray, which I think ruins the look of the XR Utes.

I like the Utes, they all look great, I would be happy to own any of them! My only question is why you change them so often? Kms?

Tim

No it's not klms Tim none of them have been over 30,000 ks when we have traded them. We have been lucky enough to lease them over the years through our business. It was either the Ford utes or Toyota vans a big business decision that took all but 10 seconds to make. You have to have a few perks when your in business for yourselve and the way they depreciate so quickly 18 months to 2 yrs is long enough to hang on to them for, otherwise you would just drive them into the ground.

Fair enough :o)

You sure you don't want the Toyota vans, you can put big chrome wheels on them, tint the windows black, lower it to a few millimetres off the ground, and hang out at the local skate park with all the boyz?

LOL

Good choices! Tim
