The Big ZG Tank

A few months back after I blew the tranny in the XF and decided to take it off the road again, I brought a ZG fairlane.

-Black
-All new reapolsterd black interior (including carpet)
-mild 302, with shaker
-lowerd (front)
-mags

not a bad car for $1800
Iv already stripped the viynle roof, boot and back quaters down to bare metal for a respray.
pity I have to leave both cars behind now when I leave.

heres what it look like when I got her

looks very nice and clean for an old car. As long as the motor is strong you'll be laughing for $1,800. Needs different Mags though, not a big fan of the Bathurst Globes.

Re: The Big ZG Tank

why do you have to leave your cars behind? pity i didnt have some money saved as i want a big old fairlane. nearly bought a white one of those a few years back. it had a 351(factory) and a heap of rust in the back window and kept blowing out a sparkplug too. after the engine caught fire when we were in it from a carby leak the guy wanted to sell it (it did still run and only melted some wires....nothing drastic.) he wanted $1000 for it and i offered $500 at most coz of the condition and refused to take offers....till some stranger walked up and offered him $750...he took it.

Very nice. The old Fairlanes and LTD's had some real character.

Re: The Big ZG Tank

Hi guys, how yah all doing?

well I left them because Ill be going back one day, its pretty pricey to get them over here......BUT guess what I just brought?

an XC falcon, all original in near new condition, a couple tiny spots of rust and a few dings, the interior is imaculate, 1 tear in the drivers seat.
only prob is engine (250) is shagged, so Im getting another, was gonna get a 351 but cant seem to find one around this area (airlie beach)
best part...still with rego, $500.
