thought it be time my falcon made an appearance on the FF.
She's a 1977 XC Falcon 500, monza red & jet black, with a mild 351C, dual fuel (running 15L to 100km's!), T5 from ED XR8 with CRS custom bellhousing, 3.23 diff, rally pack dash, all black interior, sports seats, stocko 235's all round, Kenwood sound system.
Some improvements to be made in a rough order:
- lowered suspension (probably lovell's super low)
- mag wheels (undecided, reccommendations welcome)
- finishing touches on interior
- tinted windows
- respray/bodywork in same colour
- headwork on the motor
End result, one show car that will remain a daily driver, and put a few holdens to shame!
never done a 1/4 in her, but I plan to do an unofficial time to get a rough idea of capabilities.
on the dyno it had 145rwkw at approx. 3000rpm. on petrol, 125rwkw at 3000rpm on lpg. the untouched 302 heads make it feel like a more responsive version of a standard 351C. Really torquey though!!!
and economy is a not to shabby 100km/15.5L on lpg. Gotta love that overdrive gear!
