clear side indicators

After reading in various places that NF Fairlane side indicators (clear) will fit straight in my EF Fairmont I ordered a set from my local dealer. Sadly I find that they dont fit forwards or backwards, and the dealer wasn't too keen to take them back either, the fit was all loose and sloppy. Any ideas on other options or what I had done wrong.

Yeah, the plastic trim peices have the end bits to hold em in place.
the part numbers are
NF 16B069 A (LH Side)
NF 16B068 A (RH Side)

These cost roughly $17ea.
They will also need to be painted up, but they do include some heavy duty double sided tape to fit them on to the car.....

Im going to give this a go on my car very very soon (I needed to buy a compressor to spray the bits up), as my paint colour is not available in cans !).

What colour is your Faimont ?????
Hopefully if it is a common colour, you can get some cans to spray them up. (Not hard).

Personally, I have seen this conversion completed, and it looks damm good ! (Well worth the trouble).

If alll else fails, Im sure I cn find someone willing to buy them off you.

Cheers
Matti

Thumbs up

Thanks guys,
My Fairmont is heritage green, the dealer did "exchange" them for another product in the end so I might go and pester him again and try the fairlane extras that you mentioned.
Again, thanks for your help.
Nigel.
