AS some might know i bought a Fairlane Concorde from the auctions as a fix-er-upper to make a few bucks and to see if i actually could tackle a big repair job and do a good job myself..
Instead of me muttering on trying to explain things, I thought i'd do a picture-diary with a few comments here and there..
As purchased:-
And the finished, engineered and registered ride:-
And a few of my terrible twins :-
I would just like to mention !gnition that helped me drill out the thousand spot welds to get the 1/4 panels off and his time in persisting with the slicing of the urethyne that held all the windows in..
i have a mountain of invoices and crap to add up.. I intend to lend it to my folks for a few weeks before I throw it on the market, but i'd say close to 10k if i add in something for my time
Good job mate, but let me ask you this question, what does it drive like now, can you tell it has been in an acident, they say a car never drive's like it did after an acident.

drives like an arrow, that was why i started with a rear end accident.. there is nothing to go out of 'true' so to speak
I had an engineer inspect my repairs and give me the thumbs up..Cost me $440 for 1/2 day with them .. But I wanted the extra peace of mind that it was all A1, then as it turns out Qld Main Roads wanted it inspected anyway before they would re-register it..
