Dubbo Car Show Pics

Hey Guys,

Just thought I'd post a few pics for the car show that was held here in Dubbo yesterday.

It wasn't a bad day, a few more cars would have been good, but nothing to complain about. A lot of nice cars were also parked outside that spectators owned.

Burnout comp was ok. I was disappointed I didn't enter my EB (unfortunately entrants needed helmets) after I saw an idiot in a Toyota Starlet have a go! HAHAHA!! My car would have been just as good as most of the cars entered! There was a V6 Magna that gave a pretty good attempt, but my fav was an XE V8 that blew THREE sets of tyres down the burnout strip.

The Excel in the pic is gunna be one hell of a sleeper!!!! Lol.

Re: Dubbo Car Show Pics

BTW I was really impressed with the drag car with the AU motor in it! Internally it is dead stock. It runs high 6's down the 1/8th. He has now struck up a sponsorship deal with Ford, who are about to ship him a DOHC BA 4.0L with a snail hangin off the side of it! mmmmm

Looking good mate, thanks for the pics.

The drag car would be easy to change a head gasket on. :s5

cars are a lethal weapon, your not invinsible when you get into one,and no matter how much skill you think you have, you are never in control you are always on the edge of death it may not happen today but if you keep driving like you do,you too will end up dead!

Re: Dubbo Car Show Pics

i like the drag car!!!!!!!!! good to see the ford logo right on the front

It's one thing to lose a drag, it's another thing to lose a drag against a holden. I'd die before I let that happen to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Dubbo Car Show Pics

I asked why he went back to EA injection gear and he simply said he thought the AU setup looked untidy. There is no performance benefit in going back to the EA setup, he said that he's most probably lost power down low, but it's up high that counts in a drag car.
