They were built as the offical pace car for surfers back in there day with full bodykit, 17'' rims, gt40 heads, 'special cam', bigger valves, tubular intake manifold, 65mm throttle for 204kw@5500 and 420Nm@4000.
That was the ED pace car EBXR is talking about, the dude who used to own it (if he sold it) came along to a few of our Brissy/Qld meets. The car looked and sounded awesome, it's a shame he had to sell it and it was going for a good price too, woulda been a great buy. Apparantly when the guy who bought the ED the EB was for sale aswell, but had alot of k's on it. I know for a fact the ED is Dual Fuel too
The mods you've listed is also new news to me, I was under the impression from the dude that had the ED it was more or less stock. The ED also has an Alan Moffat signature on it too if I recall correctly

The article i found that pic in said they need the extra kw to stay ahead of the 600hp indy cars were definatly worked over. Is that ED stock 165kw? Wonder if there 'real' indy cars then!

fordmuscle_83 as far as I know he didnt do much to it himself, I cant really remember all the details of it as it has been quite some time since he was last at a meet. Quite possibly all they had were the GT/Sprint engine and running gear, that power figure isnt far off them.

about the indy eb I worked up at Cloncurry Queensland for about 10 months back in 1998 there was one parked out side a cattle truckin company the whole time i was there i was told he bought it for bugger all but it had heaps of ks on it
i have seen the Indy car in brissie at a meet... it had something like 300,000k's or so on it. It had also been converted to an Auto after the manual died...
