Now that I have some time on my hands, I have started on my next project car... an EF Predator.
The EL Predator, for those not familiar with the car, was a showcar based on the base EL Falcon, modified with parts readily avaiable through the aftermarket.
The car "was constructed to showcase the potential available within Ford's 4.0 litre SOHC six cylinder range" and to "lift sales of second hand Falcons", basically aimed at blokes like myself who wanted ideas on how to make a GLi look mint.
There are a few features that were incorporated into the Predator that I will not be using on my car, the two main ones are pure LPG and the huge Supercharger. The first I just dont like, I'd rather pay for petrol, the second comes down to insurance, or rather, the lack thereof if I strapped one on.
Other smaller changes will be the wheels (I personally did not like the Predators wheels) and the position of the fog lights...
This is the start of the project, the car that will, over the next year, evolve into a green EF Predator.
The dual exhausts are the next modification to be added, modified chrome filler cap, and I am talking to window tint companies about a tint with a green tinge to it, as the Predator has a gold tinge to its window tint. The interior begins after the outside is done, starting with Recaro's and who knows where it'll end *grins*
I am currently chasing up a clear photo of the Predator logo, I had an article in an old Motor magazine of it, which was lost over the years, much to my disgust. If anyone has one, or knows of a web address that does have one, it would be much appreciated if you could post it here, or message me! The photos I have are too vague to get an accurate view of the logo, mainly of the detail on the face of the Predator. So if anyone has one, it'd be much appreciated.
Also, if anyone has any comments or suggestions, please add them, I'd love some feedback on the idea.
Cheers!
