As promised - I've got some pics of my leathered steering wheel, gear shifter and handbrake handle. Firstly, a big thanks to LTDHO - who lent me the Torx set to remove my steering wheel and driver's seat ! Thanks Wayne, and I promise I'll give your Torx bits back sometime soon mate !
Anyway, for anyone in Melbourne, I can highly recommend Garry Blackman Trimming in Richmond for the excellent friendly customer service, prompt reliable work - and above all, a top quality job !! I think Garry has a website too : http://www.garryblackmantrimming.com/
Ok, here are the links to the piccies - excuse my camera work - it was before work one morning, so blame it on the a.m. hehe ;-)
Thanks ChuBBz - I was keen on buying a steering wheel somewhere, but the price for a new wheel was going to set me back a pretty penny - plus I got all 3 bits leathered for just under $350 which I think is pretty good value :-) I know the steering wheel looks a kinda funny colour (or makes the airbag colour look odd) but it was using the flash, so I blame lighting on that - it looks better in the flesh obviously.
The only problem I have now is wanting to get armrests, centre console and pretty much anything else leathered lol --> "Here Kitty Kitty Kitty" tee hee ;-)
No idea on just a console lid - I'm guessing they could do it using off-cuts, so give Garry a call and find out - they're friendly and will be more than happy to give you a round-abouts quote over the phone, but your best bet is to go down there sometime and speak to Garry. Hope it helps mate !
Thanks mate - I highly recommend getting the small things done as it makes so much difference seeing you use the steering wheel, gear shifter and hopefully the handbrake everyday ;-) hehe.
