finally got my car - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

well yesterday my dad went to pick up my 88 ea spac, 5 spd, mpi and only 135000 k's. it cost me $3900-bargain.
He gets home and gives me my car only it wasnt what i wanted but i cant complain.
Instead of the EA dad got me a 94 ED falcon GLi. it is pretty much perfect except for a few tiny interior scratches on the doors. its polynesian green, has a/c, smartlock. only downfall is its an auto.
it only has 155000 k's and only cost me $700 more, one owner and full service history. its pretty sweet i must say. i floored it off the lights last night and got a tyre mark about 30 metres long. i didnt use the brake to spin them and the tyre are barnd new.
Is this good value or what?
Only thing is i have no idea about the specs of the car
can u guys help me out?
Is it close enough to the EA to remain on this board and use the alot of the info on this board?
i think i have to change my name?

Well firstly congratulations - sounds like a very nice car. I can help you with a couple of your questions. The power figure is 148 kW, but the diff ratio compared to a 3 speed EA would make the biggest difference. A manual EA would probably be faster, but in just about every other respect the ED would be the better car.

This board is primarily open to EA owners. It is to a lesser degree open to owners of 'EA based cars' (including EDs), and to an even lesser degree again open to later models (which strictly speaking are all EA based in different ways). You're still most welcome...
