This is my partners company car. She is getting a new one soon so I thought I'll post a few pics. It's a Focus CL with 16inch alloys. It is a great handling car and it makes me wonder why the market hasn't flocked and bought more of these great cars.

The only main reason why they are slow is because you cant buy them in the $19990 bracket like the rest of the small sized cars.

They are just too expensive.

Great value though. The Astra is roughly the same in price and sells very well. It will take time for the public to see what a great little car it is.

Yeh true i guess, i went to have a look at one a few months ago, and they were like 25 grand by the time you got htem on the road (in stocko format)

I could buy an Astra Equipe with all the goodies for that price.

Ive also been told they arent real nice to drive, but ill have to have a go myself before i make judgements.

Interesting.
I used to own a 1998 Pulsar SSS and the Focus put it to shame in ride and handling.The Pulsar had stiffer suspension but the balance was bad compared th Focus. It understeered and then snap oversteered when you backed of the throttle on a light bend. The Focus just steers through at a similar speed smoothly with no hint of understeer or oversteer if you back of.

I recently took delivery of my new Focus. Fantastic car to drive, I love it.

Still cheaper than what Holden was asking for a new Astra (for comparison, wasn't going to buy one ), so not sure where the quote for a fully equipped Astra Equippe under 25 grand came from. Even second hand ones were going for 22.

I love driving the Focus, less power than my Falcon but the ride makes up for it. Hope you enjoy driving the car!
