After having my share of Fords over the years, right up to the BA XR8, I've gone full circle and I'm back where I started. I'm now back in an XY. It just feels right.
Now for some pics, which are long overdue.
Original 351 Fairmont, just what I was after.

Congrats Rastus - that's a very nice Fairmont! Globes suit it as well.

(I still have a soft spot for the V8 AU Fairmont ghia you owned)

Hey its a great looking xy there. Love the colour. Its the same as my corty I believe.

I am really happy with it and now while on holidays at least I can enjoy it a bit more.
The colour is Bronze Wine, very much like the brown on the Cordy's, maybe lighter. My mum had a TC that colour. For most people, they're all brown!
The only things that I'm changing ATM is the wheels, (yes they look good, but are only 14" globes). I'm getting some steel rims and putting the full Fairmont wheel covers on. I want the stocky look. Also wanting to get the standard steering wheel also. Put an aftermarket one on for the RWC. It came with a XY GS rim, but horn was stuffed.
Only things wrong with it is the front seats have been retrimmed, but without the basketweave inserts. Will look to remedy, as back seat is immaculate.
Also it's got a 4 barrell Holley sitting on original Ford Square Bore manifold (XB 2v GT?) instead of the original 2 barrell Ford carb. (I don't mind that as much!)
Not really missing the BA that much, I do have a BA ute for work, (just missing 2 cylinders+XR package+back seat).
