hey all, on saturday 25th i get my ea 2 ghia

i got a few q's

(1)does anyone know the cheapest place for an 18 yr old to get full comp insurance on a series 2 ea ghia auto?

(2)one of the first things i will be doing to the car is installing my new pioneer deh-p6450 cd player, can someone tell me how to remove the original tape deck? also what colors are the original front/rear speaker cables?

(3)does anyone know if u can get a new windscreen cheaper than $150 fitted on site?

Windscreens obrien did my ed(same as ea) for $116 fitted new 1 year ago,might even be cheaper now

$116 thats bloody cheap, we can't even buy the windscreens for that much, we charge about $200 to fit a windscreen. If you can get fitted for $116 thats a bargain.

Well i did mine quiet a while ago but here goes.
To remove the old tape deck you will need a Phillips head screw driver and either the correct tool or a set of multi grips/plyers.
There should be 2 screws just above the tape deck on the angled section. Unscrew them.
Remove the Ash tray.
Now you should be abel to carefully pull forward on the plastic around where the ash tray was and a small section will come out completly.
There are now 2 screws with weird heads on them holding the tape deck in. If you have the correct tool then just unscrew them, pull it out and unplug it. If not then you will have to use some multigrips, locking plyers or another similar tool to unscrew the screws. The replace them with others you do have a tool for.
I wouldnt cut the wires when installing the new deck either (like i did). I since found out there is a place that sells converter plugs but i cant remember the site, sorry man.


If i left anything out or got somthing wrong, feel free to point it out, as i said its been a while.

Those wierd heads are security screws, after drilling out many of them before on previous cars I finally went out, spent ten bucks and bought a security set from some auto store, best thing I ever bought.

Super Cheap sell some converter plugs, I beleive... I am pretty sure....
