Re: hotrod lincoln

What's been done to it to get it up to 320 HP? I see a naturally aspirated engine with a stock 5.0 intake, not even a Cobra.

Re: hotrod lincoln

What has it run on a dyno? With the mods below, my car put down 257 rwhp and 285 rwt which translates to about 340 at the crank. With no change in intake, cam or any other supporting mods for the heads, your car is probably 260ish at the crank or about 195 to the rear wheels.

Re: hotrod lincoln

I'm with wythors on that. GT40 heads aren't THAT huge of an upgrade- only worth about 25-30hp on an otherwise stock motor.

Re: hotrod lincoln

I don't know why you want to bring a GTO into this discussion. Not sure what the RWHP is but they advertise 400 hp and 400 ft lbs of torque. They run the 1/4 in 14 flat and 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds. The weight of the GTO is within 50 pounds of your Lincoln so I really don't think your going to give it a hard way to go.

As far as why you beat a 95 (fixed up) GT...the Lincoln came with a 225 hp engine and 300 ft lbs of torque. The Mustang you are referring to has a 215 hp engine and 285 ft lbs of torque. If both cars were running right and no one fell asleep on the line, I would think it was a close race.

You have a nice car, and I'm sure its runs decent. But keep in mind that theoretical hp is a lot different than actual hp. Unless you have dyno results, don't post hp ratings as fact unless you want to get grilled lol.

Take care!
