Hi , just wondering is there any real 0 way of covering your self from buying a second hand car that still has money owing on it from other parties and finance companies?

I believe there is a Vicroads number you can call to check for that, or if the car is stolen. Their web site would have further information.

Re: re

call REVS in NSW also, and make sure you do it even if the car you are buying is only $1,000 or less because my last car had money owing on it and i didn't check and ended up losing a fair bit of money.
