do you know anyone with a video capture card?? If you dont I can see two options ... (1) pay a professional to do it or (2) snail mail it me and I will do it. You will get a better result from a professional but except for postage ... I am free!:D The results I get are acceptable for just little clips and such

As for computerising, does your video camera have MPEG memory? If so, shoot it on the MPEG card and download direct to PC. Works real well, as long as the memory card is a good size.
