Hi all. Finally a pic of my RS (try saying that quickly...could get me banned :s6: ).

anyway, i hope this link works. no doubt i will find out soon. i have some details on the galley page, but just in case, here is the story so far.

i have had the car for 3 years. i bought it as a black shell, and took it to get resprayed. the panel shop had it for 1 year, but it was worth the wait. sadly, the pictures dont do the car justice. the paint is stunning. since this pic was taken, i have got the motor in and replaced the back end. the arse now sits a bit higher as the rear springs are from a van and have an extra leaf. that will be fixed soon. i have started to get the interior back in place. i am hoping to have most of that done by the end of this weekend.

with any luck, it will be running and registered in time for the all ford day on oct 26 in perth. i am going to be relying on the mechanic and then the panel shop again as the car needs to be buffed.

Very nice Escort. Is it a real RS2000? They were rockets in their day (and probably still are). Much better than the Hyundais etc that P platers seem to love these days.

the RS is a genuine car. as for how much further, i did a bit more work on the insidde tonight. i have booked the car to go to the mechanic at the end of this month. a 5 speed box and a bigger weber have been ordered. otherwise, there isnt a huge amount for him to do, except get it to start. from there it gets buffed and a couple of paint faults fixed, and then on the road. i will be stalking ricers on friday nights, and hope to get involved in some local cruises.

Which 5sp box have you ordered? Sierra 5sp?

If it is a sierra 5sp did you modify (by moving back) the rear geabox mounts as these need modifying usually on on MkII RS's

it is a sierra 5 sp, but i am not putting it in. will get that done for me. will also be getting a nice sidedraft weber while i am at it.

hey how much do you think a nice Mr2 (or maybe Mr1) RS2000 would be..the paint would have to be in pretty good nick because Im not to keen paying for a respray at the moment.
