Just happened today and my GF is crushed, we put about 3-4K into this car, and some little 16, year old girl in a lexus es 300 did this.
O god.
The frame is bent.
Stuff pushed into the motor and P/S, enough that is disconnected the P/S line.
We are crushed, the car is defiantly going to be totaled, no dough, I just hope they will let me take the performance parts off, and make a deal for me to take the motor, trans, and all wiring, so it can be transferred into my wagon.
But we will have to wait and see, it just happened.
Me personally, I have no words right now. Besides we will be getting another ZX3.
Thanks guys, my GF took a ambulance ride, and had seat belt marks all over her chest. She was the only one in it, I was at home when the popo called.
We are talking with the 16yr old girls "daddies" insurance company tomorrow with our lawyer.
We are hoping to get the motor, trans, drive axles( if good), and the entire wiring harness along with some of our performance parts that we have receipts for.
We will see what happens, but yes, both me and her are crushed, I put so much work into this car, Blood, sweat, and yes tears sometimes, and some little 16yr old, new driver, ruins it for both of us.
If all else fails with getting the parts we want, my GF is already looking for another 2.3l, or she has been looking at a sick red 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX. Manual of course, we will not settle for less then what we had.
I will update though, and let ya'll know what happens with us having a car/parts.
Thanks guys, were are currently looking at a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX for a replacement car, it has 120K on it, with some work already done.
I'd love it if we got this^, these cars are such a dream to work on, change a axle, 30 mins, take the radiator out, 10 mins, change the water pump, about a half hour.
My mother owns my old 98 Subaru Legacy, so I've worked on them in the past, and as I said, it's just a dream to work on.
