JR hit the nail on the head. This airbox breathes better than the standard 6 box. It's been dyno tested and there are gains of around 10 - 12 kw at the wheels.
Plus I'm attaching the original snorkel to this box as well. This is what they have done with the new Typhoon but using the standard box. The idea being that the more air volume, the less pressure on the turbo, the more power produced.

Did you have to cut a big hole in the side of the airbox Pod? Are you using a Batten or K&N filter? Batten make a Pod Filter exactly like the XR8/GT type pod, but with a pre-cut hole for the snorkel (which is also supplied in the kit) to bolt straight on. I was also going to ask you what did to bipass the bit there the MAF would be but you just added another peice of factory flexitube. Looks real good! Keep us up to date with the performance gain/better fuel economy (if applicable).
