hi all. i recently purchased an ea GL

6cyl cfi
Auto
duel fuel

the only mods that have been done are

Electric fans out of an ef
Ef door handles.

these were done before i bought it.

it cost me a tidy sum of $900 + about $300 to get it roadworthy

all that needed doing where

Ball joints, bushes, steering rack, new front windscreen and a small amount of rust.

mods planned in the future (1 1/2 - 2 years)

Subtle bodykit (ala dick johnson or similar kit)
Mags
a bit of engine work
new zorst (lol always wanted to say that)
new paint
Twin lights (ala ed xr )
new gearbox (still auto though)
new diff


goes pretty well compared to the cortina. it is very easy to speed in mainly because i am used to the cortina.

but over all im pretty happy with my purchase, havent had it anywhere near a dyno or anything yet but im pretty shure it is down a bit on power because of the duel fuel.

one thing it neads though is new injectors because it runs very bad on petrol.

looks the goods..but maybe that grandpa visor could go?? But if you need it then..um..thats cool.

As for the EF door handles, not sure why the previous owner would go through the trouble and then not colour code them..ah well that can be done later I guess.

For $900 odd bucks its not a bad pick up well done.

yeah, the visor does look grandpa ish but it really helps in the afternoon. i will get rid of it eventually but that means new window rubbers etc.

Good pickup mate. Looks like XF GL wheels there, and while I can't be sure from the pics, I'd swear you have EB mirrors, bonnet and side indicators?
