My other pride and joy!

Here is my other pride and joy

I've had it for a little over 2 years. It is what all my money has previously gone into, before i got my car. I love it to bits and it brings me hours of entertainment.

Drums:

Mapex Pro-M Fusion Kit in Blue Ice

The shells are made out of a composite 7 ply maple / mahogony wood (the outer and inner plies are maple, the inner 5 are mahogony)

(I have a double kick pedal, but im not using it atm because its at a friends place on his kit)

Cymbals:

9 x 10 Rack Tom
10 x 12 Rack Tom
12 x 14 Rack Tom
18 x 22 Bass Drum
5.5 x 14 Wood Snare

Cymbals

14" Paiste Alpha Medium Hats
18" Bosphorus Traditionals Medium-Thin Crash
20" Boshporus Gold Extra Heavy Ride
17" Zildjian A Custom Crash
20" Zildjian ZBT Ride (used as crash)
18" Zildjian ZBT-Pro China
10" Zildjian Schimitar Splash

Other things that i have but dont use on this setup:

14" Sabian B8-Pro Mini China
10" Zildjian ZBT-Pro Splash
8" Cowbell

Dane.

Re: My other pride and joy!

Yeah that is a sweet kit
I am saving for a 7 piece Yamaha kit in natural maple and I already have Zildjian cymbals. Not too far away hopefully

TwinPiston, i'd really like to add a 8" rack tom or a little 12" snare drum. But unfortunately all my money is now being poured into the car so i think the kit will just have to stay like that for now....unless i win lotto or something.

Re: My other pride and joy!

I used to own a full pearl kit with Zildjian symbols. But then I had the same problem as you... i bought a car and the money all went on that.... including the money I got for my drum kit.

Re: My other pride and joy!

Nice ride... cymbal. I bought a Pearl Export series a few months back, and certainly know where you guys are coming from. Haven't done many mods yet though. I'm even reluctant to cut a hole in the front skin of the kick drum, even though it supposedly improves sound...

Thumbs up coowl

yeah, my other pride and joy is my bass guitar.

dunno much about drums, but the drummer in my band is currently looking over my shoulder drooling.

I wanted to buy it a new amp, but it cant have one because i have to pay 4 my car :(

it didnt help that i just crashed a quad bike and had to pay for the repairs.. and it also isnt good that i thaught it might be cleaver to pay to do a HNC qualification.

*Sigh*
