Hi people,

Thought Id add a link to pics of my newly acquired 1980 XD Fairmont Ghia 302 V8. Car features usual ghia extra trimmings + has a full body kit including side skirtings and XE tail lights.

Car is very straight, appears to be dint-free and minimal rust. Car has a Borgy 3 speed auto, with car re-painted in original sno white (9). Motor appears to be fully standard, as charcoal box & air cond are still in place (this is why I didn't take any engine pics).

Future planned mods are a warm 351 with 5 speed manual, dark tinted windows, upgraded exhaust, XY repo shaker.

That looks pretty straight and tidy - good pickup!!

You going to keep the 12 slotters or upgrade them?
How wide are they??

are you going to paint the grille??

Still undecided about the keeping the current wheels, I have another 5 spoke wheel I might stick on (pic "here") but 12 slots are pretty cool. Either way thinking ill stick to the fat look ie. 14s with 265s rather than something like 16s or 17s like I thought about. I think the 12 slots are 8 inch wide upfront at rear, not quite sure but look to also be 8 inch wide, pretty sure 265s fit on 8 inch rims.

Yeah, going to repaint in gloss black. Still undecided whether to paint the plastic on the bottom of the bar also white or go for gross black.
