Well my young fella has gone and bought an XW Fairmont Project car. The body has a few minor things to sort out but all the major work has already been done, the interior is ok but needs a good touch up, mechanically it seems like it is going to be pretty strong!!
Balanced & Blueprinted 351 Windsor bored 30 thou up, Match ported Inlet Manifold to the heads and the heads matched to the Extractors, Solid Cam and Lifters, Big Stainless Valves, Adjustable Posi locks, Screw in Studs, Ross Balancer, ACL Pro Seal Rings , Clevite bearings, Mallory Twin Point Dizzy the auto is a C10 shift kitted and a 2500 stall, B&M shifter.


The next few months are going to be very interesting !

WELL done Ray & Ben what color are you going to paint it the same green as under the bonnet, should be tuff engine with them mods, so Ben when do you think you will be blowing the O.F.R BA off ?

Mark, It will be the same green as under the bonnet, its a pretty nice colour actually. Rodderz you wouldnt want to after driving XR8's to many shakes and stuff like that!!!! Girl ....

Thanks mate hopefully she turns out well, we arent building a show car here though just a really nice and very tough daily driver.


I can tell you that my XR8 has a full exhaust and battens cold air and thats it, oh and it is a manual. You just need a ripper pilot!!

It's the BEST colour in the XW/XY range mate,It's the same colour as my XW, limelight frost metalic, good to see more XW's getting around, we all know they are the best in the Ford range.
