40 years ago my uncle and his brother which is my father, were pulling tree's out our back woods to sell, well they had a old Jeep they used to pull em out to the front yard to cut em up.

Well one day it died on them, and they left it here for the next 40 years.

Only a few parts on it could be saved, the front grill, and maybe the hood.

Just wanted to share, anyone else got some old cars in the woods?

I'll take a walk across the street one day, and go find the three old cars in the woods, I think two are sedans, and one is a old wagon. Late 60's cars, IDK what they are, so I'll get some pics one day soon.

Asked pops today, and he thinks it is a 60's Jeep.

Dammit, you piqued my curiosity once, then you had to do it a second time. A little more info on the "Dauntless V-6"

Jeep Engine: Dauntless Buick 225 V6

For all you Buick and Pontiac fans, SURPRISE (it was for me).

Yea pops and I were talking more about it today, and when he told me is was a Buick motor, I was like what????

Then he explained that back then, Buick was the only one making that V6 motor.

On another note, I took the oil cap off on the valve cover, and dam, the cam lobs look like inline roller blade wheels. lol

Very interesting, I might tear it down to just the block for a learning experience, and to bring the block to the scrap yard for $$$.

I knew that Jeep has used other badges for their motors, what surprised me was that this particular V-6 was what became the modern day 3.8... that GM dropped. I will never understand that corporation.
