Well in light of all these threads with pics of peoples cars lately, I thought I'd get off my behind and finally post some pics of my Telstar. I know it's not a Falcon but I got it to save money so I can get my EA on the road. It's a 1992 AXII Telstar TX5 Ghia 2.5L V6. The best way to describe it is a wolf in sheeps clothing!! It's so amusing seeing the looks on people's faces when their Falcon/Commo is left for dead off the lights. Most people dismiss it as a 4cyl, but soon get a surprise. For a 2.5L it absolutely hauls arse! I might try and get a 0-100km/h video if anyone is interested, it sounds great with the 2.5in exhaust as well.
Excuse the dirty engine bay! lol
There are high res pics in my gallery if anyone wants a look.
Regards
Daniel

Great stuff Daniel, I've been a huge fan of this model since it came out in '92. Great all rounders and worthy COTY winners. Lots of familiar parts there too, with door handles, instrument cluster etc interchangable with my Mazda. :s5

I love it, it's got 244,000km's but it doesn't miss a beat! They are a really well built car from what I can see. The only down side is the price and availability of parts!

Glad to see it's still going strong with those kms! Also remember that if you are buying parts, you'll generally be able to shop around at both Mazda and Ford dealers/wreckers.

The two stupidest ones I can think of are the rear parcel tray new from Ford is $596 + GST and there is a plastic surround for the window switches in the drivers door that's part of the door handle which is broken meaning the handle is sitting loosley in the door trim and I have to be pretty careful when closing the door, Ford don't make that part any more, but they did have a full door trim in stock at the rock bottom price of $1649 + GST!!!
Other things like leads for example were $180 odd dollars a set and I went to every parts store in Dubbo for a set of plugs..........no one had them in stock!!

remember this telstar is the same as the mazda 626 of the era, and shares most parts bar a few external trims... itd probably share some parts with your eunos jack!
Mine doesn't have a sunroof unfortunately, but it's got all the luxo goodies like power windows, cruise control, 4W ABS, velour seats, projection beam headlights etc :)
I've had it for a month or so now and it's been great! It's getting a new clutch pretty soon, but that's no biggy, I got a high performance clutch really cheap. The only other thing wrong with it is the handbrake/brake warning light started coming on when braking. I checked over everything, nothing is leaking, fluid reservoir is full and isn't losing anything. Then it started coming on when slowing down i.e. changing down gears. Brakes are still working fine and the ABS works, but now the light stays on unless I'm accelerating hard, so I'm inclined to think it's an electrical problem somewhere. Just a matter of finding it :(
