Strifes lil'stroker 6.2 engine build

Dont to be outdone, I know you lurkers have seen them on ls1.com but here they are anyway

a dum question......

if that is an alloy block, how the hell does the magnetic dial guage stick to it?

Lunati Pro Billet Super Lights 4340 Conrods
Ross Custom Pistons 9.3:1 CR, Loc wire Super Duty Pins
Custom Ring Stack-SC
Childs and Albert CrMo Rings
Ross oil ring spacers
King Competition Big End and Mains Bearings
Comp Cams Split Duration Custom Camshaft
Rollmaster Double row timing set Jwis chain nitrided gears.
01 blueprinted and ported oil pump
LS6 PCV set up
SQP ported heads
Ferrea 2.02" Intake and Ferrea 1.55" Exhaust valves
Comp Cams Titanium retainers 8mm 6.2 deg radial groove locks
Double Valve springs-1.44" diam.
Comp Cams V/spring locators
Crane 1.8:1 Roller Rockers.
Crane Heat Treated .080" wall CrMo Pushrods.
ATI Keyed Harmonic Balancer
SQP revised oil system
ARP Head Stud Kit
Balanced and Blueprinted Clearances, Deck Machined

I think most if not all alloy blocks have cast iron liners , the magnetic block would just be mounted to them
