No its not a stroker.

Its a resleeved LS1 block increasing the bore from stock 3.9 to 4.1", uses the stock LS1 3.622 nodular cast iron crank.

The LS1 crank is drilled through centre of main bearing journals 2,3,4,5 to reduce weight.

Theres a write up on that engine in Perth Street Car magazine. It even talks about your old engine in the luxo barge being stolen. But i guess you already knew it was in the mag, they want a full story about your GTO when its up and running.

if its the magnum force story then its another engine 436 ci that street quick is doing . I know they were doing something on this one but didnt think it made the press yet.

Perth Street Cars I must say great mag some good coverage of the street cars in perth with a good mix of tech. One of the best car mags I reckon.

ahh yes its the magnum force engine build up, but it does make reference to your old engine, unless someone else had a blown luxo barge that got stolen in the eastern states???

Thanks, yeah magnum force is my engine as well 436ci 7.2L.

Basically the same as the above with a lot bigger cam and a billet Lunati crank with 4.125 stroke and different model heads.

a little update

The specs for the 382 are below some shakedown runs at Motorplex show that with SO2s are no match, first runs managed 111,112 mph runs with traction control on 113.32 highest mph for the night with a mph goal hopefully around 116-118 mph mark and me learning to pedal. Times where shockers best was 13.7 on So2s 3/4 tank of gass and spare\jack etc in the boot.

Still some work to do find some slicks, diff ratio and perhaps a little more exhaust, running a Difilipo twin 2.5 system for now.
