$1000 for the rims from Mick Webb and $900 worth of Kumho 712s from my local tyre dealer. The fronts are 17x8 and the rears are 17x9s, so the tyres were a little dearer for them.

Looks real nice there Jamie, yeah it's amazing how going an inch bigger on rims changes the look of the car. Your rims are definitly unique which makes your car standout.
I'm beginning to see that my rims are way to main stream as everyones got them and even fitting them to older falcons.

Hey Jamie, they look great. Is there plenty of room between the rear rim and the guard - I expect that there would be! So you managed to get the Kumhos for the back! Good work!
Have you found any difference in roadholding/cornering yet? Does the steering feel different (lighter/heavier)?
On an unrelated subject, how do you go with the pager alarm?

Haven't really driven the car anywhere yet, just around the block. I might be imagining it but the steering feels a little heavier. I always thought the steering was too light so I'm happy with it.
There was plenty of room at the rear, could go bigger again! I noticed though there isn't much room at all at the front between the inside edge of the rim and the suspension arm. I remember that there wasn't much anyway with the original 16x7s.

They are 235/45/17 at the front and 255/40/17 so there is only a thread depth between them. Shouldn't put the speedo out.
